Watercolors - Choose to paint Hawaiian landscapes, tropical flowers, or create a lovely watercolor with pen & ink painting. Fee $30. Watercolors at the Waimea Plantation Cottages - Tuesday, August 5 from 9am-12pm Similar to my regular watercolor class, only it will take place on the lovely lanai of the Waimea Plantation Cottages. Students please meet at the cottages and not at my studio. Fee $30. Silk Painting – In this class I will reveal some of my silk painting "secrets" as everyone paints their own 30”x 30”silk scarf to take home. Fee $60. Watercolors for Kids - Ages 10 and up. We will explore the basics of watercolor painting: color mixing, use of materials, washes of color, and a little abstract art as well. Fee $25. Beginning Sumi-e Painting – Ages 10 and up. Learn the beautiful brush strokes used in oriental style painting. Then, put them together to paint the wild orchid and bamboo. Fee $25. Scratchboard Art – Join Marionette as she demonstrates her techniques & materials to create a beautiful, decorative scratchboard panel. Fee $40. |
Acrylics - Marionette will introduce this amazing medium as she teaches her technique used to paint very colorful and life-like paintings on canvas. Fee $45. Beginning Drawing – Ages 10 and up. Learn how to draw and sketch as Marionette leads you through a series of exercises aimed at improving your drawing abilities. Fee $20. Beginning Portrait Drawing – Explore the relationships between facial features and follow a few simple drawing exercises to take the mystery out of portrait drawing. Fee $20.
